Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Citizen Coach ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the App.
No Government Affiliation
Citizen Coach is a private educational application. The App is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, or any government agency. All trademarks and government references remain the property of their respective owners.
Educational Purpose Only
The App is provided solely for educational and practice purposes to help users prepare for a citizenship assessment interview. The App does not provide legal advice, immigration advice, or official determinations regarding eligibility. Users are responsible for verifying all information through official USCIS sources or licensed immigration attorneys.
Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer & Mistakes
AI makes mistakes. The App uses artificial intelligence technology to simulate mock interviews and question-and-answer sessions. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. The App does not guarantee correctness, accuracy, or official compliance with current USCIS standards. Users should independently verify all information and understand that AI feedback is not an official USCIS evaluation.
Third-Party AI Services
The App uses OpenAI services for AI mock interviews. When you use those features, your spoken answers, audio recordings for transcription, answer transcripts, and interview context may be sent to OpenAI through our Supabase backend to generate interview questions, transcripts, and practice feedback. Users are encouraged to review OpenAI's terms of service and privacy policy to understand how AI processing works.
Driving Mode Safety
The App includes a 'Driving Mode' designed for hands-free listening. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for operating your vehicle safely and obeying all applicable traffic laws. You must not physically interact with the App or your device while driving. The App and its owners assume no liability for any accidents, injuries, property damage, or traffic violations resulting from distracted driving or the use of this feature.
No Guarantee of Results
Use of the App does not guarantee that you will pass any citizenship interview, exam, or assessment. Interview outcomes are determined solely by USCIS officers and official government processes.
User Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for their preparation, application process, documentation, and compliance with immigration laws. The App is not responsible for any denial, delay, or adverse immigration outcome.
Payments and Subscriptions
All subscription payments are securely processed by Apple (for iOS users) and Google (for Android users), and managed by RevenueCat. The App does not store full credit card information. The Citizen Coach weekly subscription renews weekly until canceled, and the monthly subscription renews monthly until canceled. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the applicable store terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement where applicable.
Analytics and App Performance
We use third-party services such as Google Analytics and Firebase (Crashlytics & Performance Monitoring) to monitor app performance, identify bugs, and ensure the app runs as smoothly as possible. By using the app, you agree to their respective terms of service.
No Refund Policy
All subscription purchases are final. No refunds, partial refunds, or prorated refunds will be issued for unused time, dissatisfaction, technical limitations, or perceived inaccuracies in AI responses, except where required by applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and its owners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the App, reliance on AI-generated content, or immigration outcomes.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the App, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
Google AdSense Online Terms of Service
This App uses Google AdMob and AdSense to serve advertisements. By using this App, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the Google AdSense Online Terms of Service. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this App or other websites.
Modifications
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App operator is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
